OUR CHURCH
Southview Baptist Church is a multigenerational congregation of 250–300 in Iowa Colony, Texas focused on reaching our rapidly expanding community. We seek to preach and teach the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ, and offer community and encouragement as we learn to live Bible-based lives.
OUR WORSHIP
Southview’s congregation worship blends traditional hymns with current Bible-based songs. Our music consists of piano, organ, keyboard, drums, flutes, and trombone. The Choir and Praise Team offer special music each Sunday. Note: We are a memorized choir and do not use music score or lyrics. We rely heavily on our director's clear direction and vocalized lyrics.
OUR NEED
We seek a spiritually mature and discerning Music and Worship Leader to guide our blended worship ministry and engage our young families with current Christ-honoring worship songs while including traditional hymns that are meaningful to our longstanding members. This position collaborates with Pastor to expand and broaden our music program for all generations as our church welcomes a vibrant, younger, and more diverse community growing around us.
Key Responsibilities
Select choir anthems and worship music
Lead and manage rehearsals
Prepare and deliver music for worship services to choir, praise team, instrumentalists
Coordinate with the media and technology team
Collaborate with church leadership to grow the music ministry
Additional opportunities are available depending on the applicant’s calling and skills such as preaching, teaching, outreach, managing media & technology, etc.
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with education, experience, and responsibilities.
Southview is not charismatic, reformed, nor KJV only.
