The Associate Pastor would work alongside our current Senior Pastor of 32 years, and would have opportunity to learn, grow, preach, teach, and lead without the pressures and responsibilities of a senior pastor. This would be a great opportunity to be mentored by and serve alongside a truly experienced Shepherd and assist the Senior Pastor in carrying out the ministry of the church.

Job Description

Brief Description: The Associate Pastor would work alongside our current Senior Pastor of 32 years, and would have opportunity to learn, grow, preach, teach, and lead without the pressures and responsibilities of a senior pastor. This would be a great opportunity to be mentored by and serve alongside a truly experienced Shepherd and assist the Senior Pastor in carrying out the ministry of the church. Expected Salary Range: $40,000-60,000; Pine Street Baptist Church offers a competitive compensation and benefits package commensurate with experience, qualifications, and ministry background. Benefits include PTO, Health Insurance Stipend, Retirement Match, Church-Covered Expenses for Continued Education / Pastoral Resources Minimum Requirements: • Confessing born again believer in Jesus Christ. • Meet the character qualifications for Pastor found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. • Maintain a close personal walk with Jesus Christ. • Ordained to the Gospel ministry or willingness to be ordained and gives evidence of a divine call to ministry. • Affirms our doctrinal statement found in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. Responsibilities/Duties: • Assist the Senior Pastor in the overall mission and leadership of the church. • Preach and teach as needed. • Assist the Senior Pastor in shepherding and caring for the church family, which includes outreach, contacting members, and providing counseling when needed. • Coordinate with Senior Pastor in planning all worship services. • Develop and oversee discipleship ministry of the church. • Provide leadership and oversight to support staff.
