Job Description
Purpose: New Life Baptist Church is seeking an Associate Pastor who is called by God. The ideal candidate is someone who is grounded in Scripture and passionate about serving the local church. This individual will support the Senior Pastor in fulfilling the church’s mission through preaching, discipleship, ministry leadership, and outreach. Qualifications: -Must be a born-again believer, led by the Spirit of God. -Demonstrates a clear, evident calling to ministry. -Must be able to pass a background check. -Committed to serving the local church with humility and integrity. -Exhibits a lifestyle consistent with the biblical qualifications found in 1 Timothy 3. -Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. -A heart for discipleship, evangelism, and gospel-centered teaching. -In full agreement with the New Life Baptist Church Statement of Faith. Responsibilities: -Assist the Pastor in developing and delivering Bible-based teaching for all age groups. -Lead congregational worship in hymns, choruses, and spiritual songs. -Help plan and oversee church events, Bible studies, and outreach opportunities. -Support and coordinate various church ministries (e.g. youth, children, adult education). -Oversee discipleship efforts in the children’s and youth ministries. -Participate actively in all areas of church life. -Assist with budget planning and financial oversight. -Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Pastor. Compensation & Benefits: -Salary: Commensurate with experience. -Paid Time Off: Two weeks of annual leave, plus recognized federal/bank holidays. -Sickness/Family Leave available. -Opportunities for spiritual and professional development.
